Here are some of our key policies for your reference. Please note that not all of our school policies are published on our website. However, if you would like to enquire about any that do not appear here, you are most welcome to contact the school office.
Our Accessibility Plan is drawn up in compliance with current legislation and requirements as specified in Schedule 10, relating to Disability, of the Equality Act 2010.
Behaviour and Anti-bullying Policy
The school expects every member of the school community to behave in a caring and considerate way towards others. The school rewards good behaviour, as it believes that this will develop an ethos of kindness and co-operation. Our Behaviour and Anti-bullying Policy is designed to promote good behaviour, rather than merely deter anti-social behaviour. We treat all children fairly and apply our policy in a positive and consistent way.
Charging and Remission Policy
Witley C of E Infant School aims to value each pupil as an individual and enable them to achieve their full potential through a wide variety of opportunities and experiences. This Charging and Remissions Policy sets out the school’s policy for charging for the provision of this wide variety of opportunities and experiences. Whilst the intention is to apply the policy equally in order to promote fairness, every effort will be made to ensure that no child is prevented from participating because of financial circumstances.
Witley Infant School endeavours to provide the best education possible for all of its pupils in an open and transparent environment. We welcome any feedback that we receive from parents, pupils and third parties; any suggestions for improvement will be taken seriously and given due consideration.
If you need to raise an issue, in the first instance, please do so with the relevant member of staff who will be happy to talk to you and seek to establish a solution. If you are not satisfied with this response and believe the issue has not been resolved, please use the formal procedure, summarised in the Complaints Procedure. Please note that we also have guidelines for Managing Serial and Unreasonable Complaints.
In the event of a parent/carer wishing to make a complaint about something in connection with SEND they should initially contact the Headteacher or SENDco. The Complaints Procedure will be followed unless it is deemed inappropriate to do so. This would be determined on a case by case basis. Please contact the school if you require any further information.
Equal Opportunities and Race Equality Policy
At Witley C of E Infant School, we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity in everything that we do. Our Equal Opportunities Policy forms part of the school’s approach to its Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) as laid out in the Equality Act 2010. However, this policy is currently under review so please contact the school if you require any further information.
Relationships and Health Education Policy

Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) and Inclusion Policy
At Witley Infant School we provide a broad and balanced curriculum for all children whatever their needs or abilities. Not all pupils with disabilities have special educational needs and not all pupils with SEND meet the definition of disability. Our Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND) and Inclusion Policy covers all of these pupils.
The SENDCo and Inclusion manager for this school is Mrs Nicki Payne. Should you wish to discuss any aspect of our SEND provision please do make an appointment via the office to meet with Nicki.
At Witley CofE Infant School we encourage all staff to express any concerns they have. For full details please see our Whistleblowing Policy.
